Motorcycle Insurance

Ride protected, stay confident
Motorcycle insurance is a contract between the policyholder, and an insurance company designed to provide financial protection in the event of accidents or incidents involving the insured motorcycle. It is an essential safeguard for every motorcycle owner, helping protect against a wide range of risks depending on the coverage selected, including collision accidents, accident-related injuries, vandalism, theft, fire, flooding, hail damage, animal collisions, and other unforeseen events that can damage the motorcycle and disrupt the rider’s mobility, daily life, and peace of mind. In most cases, motorcycle insurance policies are renewed annually.
It is important to understand that even mopeds and small-engine motorcycles operated at lower speeds are required to carry liability coverage. For individuals who operate motorcycles off public roads—such as all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), dirt bikes, mini bikes, and golf carts—specialized coverage may provide protection both on and off designated trails, allowing riders to enjoy their vehicles with greater confidence and fewer worries.

Among the primary coverages available are:
Liability Coverage
- Covers property damage and bodily injury caused to others in accidents where the insured rider is legally responsible. In Texas, the minimum required coverage is $30,000 per injured person, up to a maximum of $60,000 per accident, and $25,000 for property damage per accident, commonly known as 30/60/25 coverage. We strongly advise policyholders to consider higher liability limits to better protect their assets in the event of multi-party accidents, severe injuries, or the total loss of another driver's vehicle.
Comprehensive Coverage
- Protects against theft or damage caused by natural disasters, vandalism, and other non-collision-related losses.
Collision Coverage
- Covers the repair or replacement of the motorcycle after an accident involving a collision with another vehicle or object.
Medical Payments Coverage
- Covers medical expenses for the insured rider and passengers. Depending on the insurance company, this coverage may also extend to injuries sustained while riding in another person's vehicle, walking, or bicycling.
Personal Injury Protection (PIP)
- Similar to Medical Payments coverage, this option helps cover medical expenses for the insured rider and passengers. In certain situations, it may also provide benefits for lost wages and other qualifying non-medical expenses.
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage (UM/UIM)
- Provides protection when you are involved in an accident caused by a driver who has no insurance or insufficient insurance coverage. It may also apply in hit-and-run accidents, making it critical to gather evidence and obtain witness information whenever possible.
Towing Coverage
- Covers towing expenses when the motorcycle cannot be safely operated following a covered incident.
Roadside Assistance / Trip Interruption
- Covers towing to the nearest repair facility and roadside labor assistance, including services such as changing a flat tire or jump-starting a dead battery. Some insurance companies also offer optional enhancements that may include reimbursement for the cost of a temporary replacement vehicle if the motorcycle is damaged in an accident and immediate alternative transportation is required.
*It is important to understand that policy terms, conditions, and coverage availability may vary from one insurance company to another. It is critical to carefully review each policy in order to fully understand the scope of coverage and any exclusions that may apply.
